Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Police on Monday arrested 8 people who were involved and participated in riots that took place Sunday in Qatraneh in the southern governorate of Karak, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) media office said.

The apprehended men transferred to the State Security Court (SSC) Prosecutor.

Qatraneh witnessed violence and riots when hundreds stormed to the streets, blocked Aqaba-Amman international road, burning rubber tires claiming that state's lands have been taken from the locals after they reclaimed it, and were sold to an investor.
