Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – The Jordanian Customs Department (JCD) on Wednesday sealed an agreement with its Saudi counterpart to facilitate trade exchange and control the transfer of passenger vehicles, trucks and data on goods.
JCD Director General Ghalib Sarayreh said that the agreement aims at boosting bilateral cooperation and controlling customs smuggling which negatively affect the two countries’ economic, financial and social interests.
He added that it would raise the level of the custom action through mutual coordination between the two departments by facilitating the transfer of goods.
Director General of the Saudi Customs Department Saleh Al-Khulaiwi said that the agreement will help in facilitating the movement of the transit trucks and regulate the transport of passengers and goods through the crossing points approved by both countries.
He voiced hope that the deal would effectively contribute to facilitating both countries’ international trade.
