21-09-2011 12:00 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two tribal coalitions ' the Bani Sakhr for Reform' and 'The Bani Hassan for the Nation', on Tuesday called on Jordanian reform movements to unite efforts in combatting corruption.

The two coalitions, representing two of Jordan's largest tribes, agreed during a consultative meeting convened on Monday in Um al-Amad to form a committee to coordinate between the two groups and to work to unite efforts on reform work in Jordan and combatting corruption and corrupt officials.

A statement issued by the two associations noted that during the meeting important national issues were discussed and the two groups agreed to offer assistance and cooperation with various reform movements that "share the same national concern."

The meeting was considered a first step in uniting efforts to achieve their goal of comprehensive reform, according to the statement.
