Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - As part of its annual Cultural Envoy program, the U.S. Embassy will host two American hip hop dancers to teach youth across Jordan hip hop and breakdancing techniques.

They will train Jordanian dancers from around the Kingdom in preparation for a free concert at Aqaba's Revolution Square on Friday, July 15 at 7 p.m.

During their stay in Jordan, dancers Nate Cano and Rick Camargo of the Houston, Texas-based hip hop group HaviKoro will teach dance classes to youth of all skill levels ranging from young children to experienced dancers in Amman and Aqaba. They will teach classes at Tempo Dance Studio and the Princess Basma Youth Resource Center in Amman from July 6 - 10 and in the dance room of the InterContinental Hotel in Aqaba from July 11-14.

The U.S. Embassy will partner with the Princess Basma Youth Resource Center and Tempo Dance Studio for this residency. The program will refine the skills of Jordanian hip hop dancers and introduce new students to a dance style that originated in the United States.
