Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Hassan Dmour - Over 200 day laborers at Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) on Tuesday renewed their protest, blasting that ASEZA has not implemented the decision to grant them permanent employment.

Representatives of the laborers claim that the government and ASEZA management did not abide by the Commissioners Council decision to tenure, the latest decision taken by former ASEZA director Muhammad Saqer on February 22, 2011.

The day laborers' protest comeas three days after new ASEZA director Essa Ayoub took office.

The laborers had staged major protests last February calling for improving their conditions, permanent employment, and extending employment benefits such as health insurance to over 1200 day laborers working for the authority.
