Ammon News - Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna), in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), uncovered new illegal connections to main water pipelines in several areas of Zarqa Governorate on Monday, as part of ongoing efforts to tighten control over water resources, protect them and reduce water losses.

The violations involved installing branch connections of varying diameters and lengths from the Hallabat transmission pipeline to supply properties not connected to the water network and built on state-owned land.

The company confirmed that the relevant committees will complete assessments of the quantities of water involved and prepare violation reports against those responsible, paving the way for legal action.
