Ammon News - Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said security agencies had arrested the perpetrators of the terrorist attack that targeted a church in the village of Hamoud, in Karak Governorate, following fierce resistance.
Speaking in an interview with Al-Mamlaka TV, Al-Faraya said security agencies had made significant operational and intelligence efforts to identify the attackers. He noted that the three suspects had been identified from the outset of the incident.
He explained that security agencies had expanded the scope of their investigations across Karak Governorate as part of efforts to locate and arrest those involved.
Al-Faraya said the attackers were apprehended inside a building in Karak city, near the scene of the attack, adding that they had sustained serious injuries to various parts of their bodies.
He stressed that this was the beginning, not the end, saying: "We are in a battle against extremism and terrorism, and we need to do extensive work to address all the factors that lead young people toward extremism. We have a long road ahead of us."
