Ammon News - The death toll from the terrorist attack targeting a church in the village of Hammoud in Karak has risen to eight after one of the injured victims died on Saturday morning.

The victim died while receiving treatment at Prince Ali Military Hospital following the terrorist attack.

On Friday, Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Badour announced during a press conference in Karak that seven people had been killed and 40 others injured in the attack.

On Saturday, Mahmoud Sawalqa, head of the surgery department at Prince Ali Military Hospital, said the hospital had been treating eight injured people. Two were in critical condition in the intensive care unit and were on ventilators following major surgeries, while six others, whose injuries ranged from moderate to minor, were receiving treatment in the surgical wards.

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced early Saturday that, under royal directives, eight injured people had been evacuated to King Hussein Medical City aboard a Royal Jordanian Air Force helicopter. Three other patients were transferred to a private hospital.
