Ammon News - A Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) teams, in cooperation with security authorities, carried out a campaign on Monday to detect illegal connections to main and secondary water pipelines in residential areas of Ruseifa District.

The violations involved unauthorized connections of various diameters and lengths used to supply water to properties not served by the water network and built on state-owned land.

The illegal connections were disconnected and the violations rectified. The quantities of water involved will be assessed, and violation reports will be filed against those responsible once the relevant committees complete their work.

The campaign comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen control over water resources, prevent violations, protect water sources and reduce water loss.
