Ammon News - A responsible military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army on Sunday denied reports circulated by foreign media claiming that Israel would participate in the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX), scheduled to be held in Aqaba at the end of October.
The source stressed that these claims are baseless, noting that they resurface with every edition of the exhibition with the aim of creating confusion and harming Jordan's reputation.
The source explained that this year's exhibition will feature 36 participating countries: Jordan, Germany, France, Egypt, Türkiye, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Switzerland, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Estonia, Spain, Canada, Argentina, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, the Philippines, Cyprus, Thailand, Lebanon, Russia, New Zealand, and Pakistan.
Jordan has hosted SOFEX since 1996. The international exhibition specializes in special operations equipment and national security and is held every two years, showcasing the latest defense equipment, technologies, and capabilities.
The exhibition brings together defense industry companies from around the world to present their latest solutions and technologies and explore opportunities for cooperation in special operations and national security.
