Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs condemned Colombia's opening of an embassy in Jerusalem.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Majali affirmed Jordan's condemnation and rejection of the move, describing it as a violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
Majali stressed that any measures or decisions aimed at changing the status or legal standing of Jerusalem are null and void, illegitimate and have no legal effect.
He reiterated that the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that ensures security and stability in the region is through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
