Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Water Authority of Jordan, Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) and the Disi project operator announced on Sunday that water pumping from wells and sources supplying the Disi Water Conveyance Project had stopped due to unstable weather conditions in southern and eastern Jordan on Friday and Saturday.
In a statement, the ministry said the weather conditions caused technical faults that halted pumping from the Disi system, leading to changes and delays in scheduled water distribution to several areas of Amman on Saturday and Sunday.
Specialized engineering and technical teams are working around the clock to repair the faults and restore pumping to normal levels.
Water distribution will resume according to each area's designated schedule once repairs are completed.
The ministry, Water Authority and Miyahuna urged residents in affected areas of Amman to cooperate and remain patient until maintenance work is completed and regular water distribution schedules are restored.
