Heavy rain hits Aqaba as flash flood warning issued

Ammon News - Several areas across Jordan’s southern governorates have been experiencing heavy thunderstorms and rainfall since Saturday morning, particularly in Aqaba Governorate.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said the latest updates from satellite imagery indicate that rain-bearing thunderclouds continue to affect southern areas of the Kingdom, including the city of Aqaba, due to atmospheric instability.
The department warned of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas.
