Ammon News - The Board of Directors of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), chaired by HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, has accepted the resignation of Secretary General Samar Nassar, expressing its appreciation for her efforts during her tenure and her contributions to the development of Jordanian football and its achievements at various levels.
The board also appointed Farah Badarneh as Acting Secretary General of the JFA, in line with its commitment to ensuring institutional continuity and advancing the association’s strategic plans and programs.
Badarneh brings more than 15 years of experience in sports administration, governance, business development, and the organization of international tournaments. She currently serves as Director of Business Development at the Jordan Football Association, a position she has held since joining the JFA in 2011.
She also serves as Director of International Relations at the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF).
Previously, she managed the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 and served as Executive Director of the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018.
Badarneh was also a member of the AFC Women’s Football Committee and is a former player for the Jordan women’s national team.
Badarneh holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan, earned in 2010.
