Ammon News - The Northern Military Zone thwarted an infiltration attempt on Sunday after border guard forces detected a person attempting to cross the border illegally.

The border guards dealt with the infiltrator in accordance with established rules of engagement, arrested him and prevented him from crossing the border. He was then handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.

The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said its border guard units continue to carry out their duties with vigilance and firmness as part of their responsibility to protect the Kingdom's borders and safeguard its sovereignty, while countering any infiltration attempts or illegal activities that could threaten national security and stability.
