Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority of Jordan said on Saturday that its ongoing campaign, carried out by the Internal Control Unit in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate to combat illegal well drilling and water network violations across the Kingdom, uncovered new violations on Friday.

The ministry stated that in the Northern Azraq area, authorities seized an illegal drilling rig that was excavating an unauthorized well inside a house. In southern Amman, in the Sahab area, two residential complexes and a commercial complex were found illegally drawing water through unauthorized connections to water pipelines.

The ministry added that the violations were removed, the drilling rig was confiscated, and the situation was restored to its original state. Official reports were prepared and referred to the relevant authorities to continue investigations and identify those responsible.
