Ammon News - A fuel tanker carrying petroleum products caught fire on the Desert Highway near Al-Quwayrah on Sunday, forcing the closure of traffic in both directions, according to the Public Security Directorate.

The External Patrols Department said its teams are responding to a rollover accident involving a fuel tanker traveling southbound in the Al-Quwayrah area, which overturned and burst into flames, leading to the complete shutdown of the road.

It added that patrol units are on-site to guide motorists and manage traffic until the obstacles are cleared and the fire is fully extinguished.

The department urged drivers using the route to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
