Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs on Tuesday condemned the Republic of Nauru’s opening of an embassy in Jerusalem, describing the move as unacceptable and a blatant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali said that any measures or decisions aimed at changing the status of Jerusalem or its legal status are null and void, illegitimate and unlawful.
Al-Majali reiterated that the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region is through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
