Ammon News - Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast a slight rise in temperatures on Monday, while remaining below their seasonal averages. The weather will be moderate across most regions and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with low-altitude clouds expected over the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.

The department said the maximum temperature in Amman will be around 30°C, dropping to 20°C late at night. Conditions will remain pleasant across most areas during the evening hours, while moderate weather is expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Another increase in temperatures is forecast for Tuesday, which marks the beginning of autumn according to meteorological standards. The weather will be moderate in the highlands and plains, relatively hot in desert areas, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Temperatures are expected to continue rising on Wednesday, bringing relatively hot conditions to most regions and hot to very hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

The department noted that September climate records have seen several heatwaves, the most recent in 2022. The longest occurred in 2020, lasting eight days and earning the nickname "the heatwave of the century."
