Ammon News - Jordan is expected to experience noticeably stronger winds during the daytime on Saturday, while a cold upper-level trough will affect the region at night and throughout Sunday. This system is expected to trigger an exceptional spell of atmospheric instability over the Kingdom at the end of August.

Early Sunday morning, Jordan will be affected by exceptionally unstable weather conditions for this time of year, with clouds increasing at various altitudes and showers expected in parts of northern and central Jordan. Rainfall may also extend to parts of the south and east, according to Arabia Weather.

In some northern and central areas, including the Jordan Valley, rainfall may be accompanied by thunderstorms and temporarily heavy downpours, along with possible hail. Authorities are therefore advising caution due to:

Increased risks of flash floods in valleys and ravines, as well as water accumulation.
Thunderstorms and lightning strikes.
Slippery roads during rainfall or hail showers.
Reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, particularly in desert areas and along desert roads.

Temperatures will drop noticeably during the remainder of Sunday, becoming several degrees Celsius below their seasonal averages. Clouds will continue to appear at various altitudes, with showers remaining possible in parts of northern and central Jordan, occasionally accompanied by thunder. Rain may also extend to parts of Karak and Tafilah governorates and some areas of the eastern Badia.

Weather conditions will tend to stabilize on Sunday night into Monday, with temperatures becoming relatively cool across most areas.

On Monday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, bringing generally moderate, stable summer conditions across Jordan, while the weather will remain relatively cool at night and during the early morning.
