Ammon News - The Southern Military Zone thwarted a drone attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs across the border on one of its fronts and within its area of ​​responsibility early Saturday morning.

The drone was detected by border guard units, who engaged it and shot it down along with its cargo inside Jordanian territory in coordination with security and military agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The seized narcotics were then transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.

The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army – emphasize that border security is a red line, affirming the readiness and vigilance of its border guards to respond immediately to any suspicious movements and to resolutely confront anyone who dares to threaten the security of the nation.
