Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Royal Jordanian Air Force, as part of its monitoring and surveillance system, intercepted a drone that breached Jordanian airspace early Tuesday morning.

The spokesperson explained that the drone was shot down in the eastern desert within Jordanian territory, in accordance with the approved rules of engagement.

He stressed that the Jordan Armed Forces continue to carry out their duty of protecting the Kingdom’s borders and safeguarding its security and sovereignty, and will not hesitate to confront any threat to the nation's security and the safety of its citizens.
