A responsible military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Royal Jordanian Air Force dealt over the past 24 hours with four missiles and six Iranian drones that targeted Jordanian territory.
The source explained that air defenses intercepted and shot down three missiles on Thursday morning, while the fourth missile fell in a remote, uninhabited area. The six drones were also intercepted and downed on Wednesday evening, with the operations causing no casualties or material damage.
The source added that Royal Engineering Corps teams moved to the sites where the missile and debris fell, handled them, and secured the locations in accordance with applicable technical and security procedures.
The source affirmed that the armed forces continue to monitor Jordan’s airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting the Kingdom’s security and the safety of its citizens, in line with established rules of engagement.
The General Command urged citizens not to approach locations where objects or debris have fallen, to report them immediately, rely on official sources for information, and avoid spreading rumors or unverified news.
