23-07-2026 10:57 AM

Ammon News - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has warned of the dangers of leaving flammable materials inside closed vehicles during the summer, stressing that temperatures inside cars can rise within minutes to levels that may cause certain items to ignite or explode, posing a threat to lives and property.

The directorate urged drivers not to leave lighters, perfumes, compressed air fresheners, gas canisters, or any flammable or explosive materials inside vehicles, especially when parked under direct sunlight.

It emphasized that following these preventive safety measures helps reduce accidents and protects drivers, passengers, and vehicles.

In addition, the PSD highlighted that prevention begins with awareness and taking simple precautions that can help avoid serious incidents.

The Public Security Directorate renewed its call for citizens to follow public safety instructions, noting that awareness and compliance with safety guidelines remain the first line of defense in protecting lives and property.
