Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti met in Washington on Tuesday with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno to discuss deepening military ties between the two nations.
Held on the sidelines of Al-Huneiti’s official visit to the U.S. capital, the bilateral talks centered on bolstering strategic defense and security cooperation. Both officials reviewed ongoing regional developments in the Middle East and evaluated joint initiatives designed to support regional peace and stability.
During the meeting, Al-Huneiti reaffirmed the strength of the strategic alliance connecting Jordan and the United States, underscoring the necessity of continuous coordination and inter-agency dialogue to counter shared security threats.
