Ammon News - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced on Monday that the number of activated digital identities through the government’s Sanad application has surpassed 2.88 million, according to the latest official figures.

The ministry said the Sanad app continues to experience rapid growth in its user base.

It noted that the number of activated digital identities reflects the app’s growing presence in users’ daily lives and their increasing reliance on it to access digital government services.

The ministry added that the app has recently undergone a series of updates and improvements focused on simplifying procedures and speeding up access to services, helping enhance efficiency and improve the user experience.

Among the key updates are the ability to activate a digital identity directly through the app without visiting Sanad service stations, change phone numbers, reset passwords electronically, and access digital documents offline using biometric authentication.

Additional improvements include upgrades to electronic passport services, vehicle registration renewals, digital payments, and digital signature services, further supporting the adoption of e-government services.

The Jordanian government launched the Sanad app in February 2020 as part of the fifth executive package of its economic program aimed at expanding e-services and improving the business environment. Several updates were later introduced to address challenges encountered during the app’s early stages.
