Ministry launches "Ahlan Jordan" digital platform to boost inbound tourism

19-07-2026 01:14 PM

Ammon News - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board, in cooperation with tourism associations, have launched the integrated digital platform "Ahlan Jordan" as part of measures to support the tourism sector and address the impact of regional circumstances on travel activity.

The platform aims to provide practical solutions to encourage inbound tourism, improve access to Jordan’s tourism offerings and enhance the competitiveness of the national tourism product.

The launch comes as part of ongoing efforts by the ministry and the board to promote Jordan as a tourism destination, support tourism establishments and workers, and introduce new marketing tools to help the sector adapt to changing conditions. These efforts are being carried out alongside promotional campaigns in traditional markets and expansion into new markets.

"Ahlan Jordan" allows visitors to plan and book their trips electronically through a single platform, providing an organized travel experience and easier access to tourism services.

The platform offers tourism programmes ranging from three to eight days, with prices starting at $180 per person. The packages include hotel accommodation, transportation, tour guide services and entry tickets to a number of archaeological sites.

The ministry and the board have included accommodation in Petra in all tourism programmes, aiming to increase hotel stays, improve occupancy rates at tourism facilities, support economic activity in the city and encourage visitors to explore other destinations across Jordan.

In its first phase, the platform targets visitors from Palestine, Palestinians of the 1948 territories, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The ministry and the board plan to expand the platform in later phases to include additional markets, particularly African markets, with the aim of diversifying tourism source markets and supporting sustainable tourism activity.

"Ahlan Jordan" is the first national platform specializing in inbound tourism and represents an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to use digital solutions, in partnership with the tourism sector, to facilitate visitors’ access to Jordan’s tourism products and strengthen the sector’s contribution to the national economy.
