Jordan sends 10th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon

Ammon News - The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched its tenth humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon on Thursday, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and international partners.

In a statement, the organization said the convoy consists of 26 trucks loaded with relief, food, and medical supplies, prepared and sent as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the Lebanese people.

JHCO Secretary-General Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli affirmed that Jordan remains committed to standing by its Lebanese brothers and sisters under all circumstances, helping to ease living burdens, meet humanitarian needs of the most affected and vulnerable groups, and support vital sectors.

He noted that the organization continues to coordinate with the Jordan Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and international partners to ensure aid reaches beneficiaries according to actual needs on the ground.

The total number of trucks Jordan has sent to Lebanon through the ten convoys has reached 197 trucks since the crisis resumed in March. The shipments have included food, medical and relief supplies, hygiene kits, tents, and two mobile bakeries.

The organization also expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the Syrian authorities for facilitating the passage of the convoy and previous humanitarian convoys destined for Lebanon.
