Ammon News - Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and Spanish Ambassador to Jordan Jose Luis Pardo Cuerdo discussed prospects for expanding cooperation on social programs during a meeting on Sunday.
Bani Mustafa reviewed the government's efforts to strengthen Jordan's social protection system to deliver more comprehensive, higher-quality services that better respond to the needs of targeted groups.
She said bilateral cooperation has supported programs benefiting children, persons with disabilities and the most vulnerable families, stressing the importance of strengthening the partnership to develop social services, implement additional programs and advance more sustainable community-based care models.
Bani Mustafa reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between Jordan and Spain in the social sector to support national priorities, improve social services and open new avenues for partnership in areas of mutual social and development interest.
For his part, Pardo Cuerdo highlighted the ministry's social programs and services, particularly in the field of social protection, and expressed hope for further strengthening cooperation and partnership in the future.
