Relatively hot conditions to prevail across most areas on Sunday

Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to edge higher on Sunday before easing back to seasonal levels from Monday, with stable summer weather forecast to continue through the middle of next week, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Forecasters said Sunday’s slight increase in temperatures will bring relatively hot conditions to most areas, while hot weather will persist in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are expected, becoming active at times during the evening.

A modest drop in temperatures is forecast on Monday, restoring mild summer conditions across most regions. Hot weather, however, will continue to affect the Badia and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds are expected to remain moderate, with occasional stronger gusts during the evening hours.

The prevailing weather pattern is expected to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, with mild conditions dominating most regions. Meanwhile, relatively hot to hot weather will persist across the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may become active at intervals.

Sunday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 33 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 31 degrees in West Amman, while highs will reach 29 C in the northern highlands and 31 C in the Sharah highlands.

Higher temperatures are expected across the country’s desert and low-elevation regions, with the Badia forecast to reach 38 C, the northern Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea 39 C, Aqaba 40 C and the southern Jordan Valley 41 C.
