Ammon News - The eighth convoy of humanitarian aid organized by Jordan arrived at the Lebanese border crossing of Masnaa on Thursday.

The convoy consisted of 19 trucks delivered to Lebanon through the Higher Relief Committee.

The convoy was received by Jordan's Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Abdulrahman Al-Hadid, and the Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Higher Relief Committee, Bassam Al-Nabulsi, who headed a delegation from the committee.

Ambassador Walid Al-Hadid said the new convoy reflects Jordan’s commitment to continuing assistance for displaced people in Lebanon as part of the international land bridge ordered by King Abdullah II. He noted that this is the eighth aid convoy since the outbreak of the war and the seventh under the international aid bridge initiative.

He added that the convoy includes contributions from the World Food Programme (WFP) and Human Appeal, carrying relief supplies including clothing, medicines, and infant formula.

For his part, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Nabulsi emphasized that the support shown by King Abdullah II and Jordan toward Lebanon is deeply appreciated. He noted that the Lebanese people do not forget those who stand by them in difficult times.

He added that the continuous flow of aid convoys is like blood flowing through the arteries, stressing that Jordan’s support for Lebanon is a well-known historical position. The shared history, brotherly relations, and family ties between the two countries make this assistance especially valued.
