Ammon News - Jordan has continued its humanitarian assistance to Lebanon by dispatching a new aid convoy on Thursday through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs.
The convoy, the eighth humanitarian shipment sent to Lebanon, comprises 19 trucks carrying essential relief supplies and humanitarian aid, in addition to a consignment of medicines intended to support Lebanese hospitals and the healthcare sector. The delivery was organized in coordination with the relevant authorities and the Civil-Military Coordination Center.
Prepared in partnership with the Lebanese High Relief Commission, the convoy was assembled according to assessed humanitarian needs and current field conditions in Lebanon to ensure that assistance reaches the most affected communities and priority sectors.
The ongoing Jordanian aid convoys are designed to support critical sectors and help ease the humanitarian challenges facing Lebanon. They underscore Jordan’s enduring commitment to assisting nations during times of crisis.
The assistance reflects Jordan’s well-established humanitarian approach, which focuses on delivering timely and effective relief through strong partnerships that guarantee aid reaches intended beneficiaries efficiently and transparently.
JHCO expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for their considerable efforts in facilitating the transit of humanitarian convoys to Lebanon.
The organization also reaffirmed its commitment to coordinating relief and humanitarian initiatives with local and international partners to enhance the resilience of affected communities and support key sectors, particularly healthcare services and livelihood security.
