Ammon News - HRH Prince Faisal bin Hussein, the Regent, visited the Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Tuesday, where he met with its Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah.

During the visit, His Highness listened to a briefing on the most important security plans and the progress of security and traffic services, coinciding with the matches of the Jordan national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.

The Prince expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to all Public Security personnel for their continuous security and humanitarian efforts around the clock, and their vital role in maintaining security and providing the best services to citizens and residents.

For his part, Maaytah reviewed key statistics, operational plans, and the Directorate’s preparedness, stressing the readiness of various security and traffic units to carry out their duties efficiently. He also noted that a comprehensive security and traffic plan has been prepared to accompany the national team’s matches during the World Cup.
