Ammon News - Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced that the Sanad application has continued to record rapid growth in its user base, with the number of activated digital identities surpassing 2.7 million citizens, including approximately 400,000 daily active users.
The ministry said these figures reflect the app’s growing role in citizens’ daily lives and their increasing reliance on it to access government digital services quickly and conveniently.
It added that this growth demonstrates rising public trust in digital government services and greater adoption of them, in line with the directives of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and under the supervision of the National Council for Future Technology, with the goal of delivering a modern and secure digital government experience.
The ministry noted that Sanad has undergone a series of updates and improvements aimed at simplifying procedures and accelerating access to services, helping enhance efficiency and improve the user experience.
Among the most significant updates is the ability to activate a digital identity directly through the app without visiting Sanad stations, in addition to services for changing phone numbers, resetting passwords electronically, and improving the display of digital documents, which can now be accessed offline using biometric authentication.
The improvements also include enhancements to electronic passport services, vehicle registration renewals, digital payments, and digital signature services, further supporting the adoption of e-government services.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continuously developing the Sanad app as part of an integrated digital government ecosystem designed to save time and effort and facilitate transactions both inside and outside Jordan.
