Ammon News - The Northern Military Zone thwarted, on Sunday, an infiltration attempt by an individual on its northern front after he crossed the border from Syrian territory into Jordanian territory illegally.

Rules of engagement were applied, and the individual was arrested and referred to the competent authorities.

The region also foiled, at dawn on Monday, an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone on its northern front. Rules of engagement were applied after it was detected by border guard forces, and the drone was brought down inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.
