Ammon News - A military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that Jordanian air defense systems and Royal Air Force aircraft intercepted and shot down 20 missiles launched from Iran toward the Azraq area in Zarqa Governorate early Thursday morning.
The source added that the interception resulted in falling debris, with no human casualties or material damage reported. Engineering teams dealt with the remnants of the missiles to ensure they contained no explosive materials.
The source confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces are closely monitoring current regional developments and are operating at the highest levels of readiness to protect the kingdom’s airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. It stressed that Jordan will not allow any violation of its airspace by any party.
