Ammon News - The U.S. Embassy in Jordan has issued a security alert following reports indicate missiles, drones, or rockets are in Jordanian airspace.

In the alert, the embassy urged U.S. citizens and residents to seek immediate shelter, remain indoors, and stay under overhead cover while monitoring local announcements and emergency alerts.

The embassy said it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide additional updates as necessary.

Travelers whose flights may be affected were encouraged to contact their airlines directly for updates and possible schedule changes, according to the alert.

The embassy also urged the public to remain vigilant, be aware of their surroundings, and report any immediate danger to Jordanian authorities by calling 911.
