10-06-2026 07:56 AM

Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to remain close to their seasonal averages through Saturday, as stable summer conditions continue across most areas, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The department said Wednesday's weather will be generally mild across much of the country, with temperatures hovering around their climatological norms for this time of year. Relatively hot conditions are forecast in the Badia, while hotter weather is expected to persist in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Moderate northwesterly winds are expected throughout the day, becoming active at times, particularly in desert regions.

Forecasts indicate that the prevailing weather pattern will continue largely unchanged over the coming days. Mild summer conditions are expected to dominate most regions through Saturday, while relatively hot weather will continue in the Badia and hot conditions will persist across low-lying areas.

The department also forecast the intermittent appearance of high-altitude clouds, with northwesterly winds remaining moderate in speed and occasionally becoming active.

Temperature readings on Wednesday are expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 29 degrees in West Amman, while highs in the northern and southern highlands are forecast at 26 C and 27 C, respectively.

Elsewhere, temperatures are expected to rise to 35 C in the Badia, 37 C in the northern Jordan Valley and 40 C in both the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba. The Dead Sea is forecast to record a high of 39 C. Petra
