Ammon News - The Southern Military Zone thwarted an attempt early Tuesday to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics using a drone along its western front within its area of responsibility.

The operation was carried out in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. After the drone was detected by Border Guard forces, rules of engagement were applied, and it was brought down inside Jordanian territory.

The seized narcotics were transferred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
