08-06-2026 03:27 PM

Ammon News - The transport sector is set to come under focus on Tuesday during a media briefing hosted by the Government Communication Forum, where officials will outline ongoing reforms and future plans aimed at modernizing public transport services.

The session will bring together Secretary-General of the Ministry of Government Communication Zaid Al-Nawaiseh and Director-General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission Riyad Kharabsheh, in a discussion titled "Rapid Developments in the Transport Sector," scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the ministry’s headquarters.

The meeting is expected to highlight a shift toward smarter and more efficient transport systems, with particular attention to digital tools reshaping how services are managed. These include improved scheduling for public transport routes, clearer organization of passenger pick-up and drop-off points, and wider adoption of electronic payment systems.

Attention will also be given to freight transport and transit operations, as authorities work to streamline goods movement across the Kingdom and strengthen the logistics sector through better use of technology and coordination.

Beyond operational upgrades, the discussion will touch on institutional development within the regulatory authority and outline upcoming projects aimed at improving overall service efficiency and governance.

Media representatives from licensed outlets are invited to attend the session, provided they arrive ahead of time and present valid press credentials.
