07-06-2026 07:56 AM

Ammon News - The Kingdom will remain under the influence of a mild summer air mass, bringing comfortable seasonal conditions to the capital and the highlands, while typical summer heat remains confined to the badia, the Jordan Valley, and the Red Sea port of Aqaba.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department’s multi-day outlook, this stable weather pattern will hold firm through Wednesday. A steady, moderate northwestern breeze will continue to filter across the country, picking up at times to keep conditions fresh over the mountains during the afternoon and evening hours.

In the capital, daytime temperatures in East Amman are forecast to reach a comfortable high of 29 degrees Celsius before cooling down to 17 degrees Celsius overnight. West Amman will experience slightly milder conditions, peaking at 27 degrees Celsius and dropping to a brisk 15 degrees Celsius after dark.

The coolest conditions will be felt in the high-elevation areas, with the northern mountains fluctuating between 25 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius, and the southern Sharah range seeing a high of 26 degrees Celsius and an overnight low of 12 degrees Celsius.

Conversely, the lower-lying terrain will see much warmer conditions. The eastern Badia plains are expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius, while the open plains mirror the capital at 29 degrees Celsius. In the Jordan Valley and the country's primary tourism basins, the heat will be more pronounced, with the Northern Jordan Valley hitting 36 degrees Celsius, the Dead Sea reaching 37 degrees Celsius, and both the Southern Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba peaking at 38 degrees Celsius. Overnight lows in these regions will offer some relief, hovering between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius. Petra
