Ammon News - Summer-like weather boosted domestic tourism across various parts of the Kingdom over the weekend, while northern regions saw heavy turnout from visitors seeking cooler temperatures and spring landscapes.
On Friday, thousands of Jordanians headed to tourist destinations in the northern governorates, leading to increased traffic on roads heading toward Jerash, Ajloun, and Irbid.
Tourism facilities in Ajloun recorded 100% occupancy over the weekend, reflecting growing demand for domestic tourism and highlighting the expanding role of the tourism sector in supporting sustainable development in the governorate.
Observers and stakeholders in tourism and development said the strong turnout is a positive sign of the sector’s recovery and contributes to stimulating economic activity, particularly for local communities that rely directly on tourism-related businesses.
