US-Iran talks remain on schedule, Pakistani source confirms

Ammon News - The second round of US-Iran discussions will be held on its time, Al-Arabiya qouted a Pakistani source involved in ceasefire discussions, confirming the arrival of the US and Iarnian delegation to Islamabad.

The source also denied having any information regarding the US – Iranian ceasefire extension.

Also, different media sources confirmed the attendance of both Iranian and American delegations.

Sources also confirmed the arrival of preparatory delegations since yesterday, in hopes of facilitating the negotiations.

However, Iranian State Television denied on Tuesday the arrival of any primary or secondary delegations in Pakistan.

The second round of negotiations is set to take place in Islamabad on Wednesday morning, CNN reports.

Vice president JD Vance will head the American delegation, while parliamentary speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf is set to head the Iranian delegation, according to CNN.

It is worth noting that the United States and Iran have previously conducted talks on April 11th in Islamabad, with JD Vance heading the American delegation, while parliamentary speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf headed the Iranian one.

Both Washington and Tehran denied reaching a long-term end to the conflict, due to number of complications remaining unresolved.
