Easter is considered one of the most important Christian holidays. Prayers were held in churches throughout the country on Holy Saturday night and on Sunday morning.
Last Sunday, Christians in Jordan attended churches to celebrate Palm Sunday, commemorating the entry of Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem, one week before Easter and marking the end of the Lenten fasting period.
Minister of Government Communication and government spokesperson Mohammad Al-Momani extended his congratulations to Christians on the occasion of Easter.
