Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on Thursday represented Jordan at the Board of Peace meeting held under the chairmanship of US President Donald Trump and attended by 48 countries.
Safadi conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II's greetings to President Trump and expressed appreciation for the US President's efforts to establish stability in Gaza.
On the sidelines of the Board of Peace meeting, Safadi met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed with him a number of bilateral issues in the context of the shared desire to strengthen the partnership between the Kingdom and the United States, in addition to regional conditions.
Safadi stressed the importance of the Board of Peace meeting and the full implementation of the US president's plan for Gaza.
He also met with the heads of delegations and foreign ministers who participated in the meeting.
The Foreign Minister also affirmed that Jordan would contribute to the implementation of President Trump's plan for Gaza by training Palestinian police officers in Jordan, emphasizing that Jordan would also continue to assist Gaza by bolstering the work of field hospitals in the Strip, continuing to treat Gazan patients in the Kingdom, and sending Jordanian and international humanitarian aid.
