Jordan, 7 countries condemn Israel's repeated violations of Gaza ceasefire

01-02-2026 03:49 PM

Ammon News - The Foreign Ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt strongly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, which have resulted in the killing and wounding of more than a thousand Palestinians.

The Ministers affirmed that these practices constitute a dangerous escalation that will further inflame tensions and undermine efforts to establish calm and stability, at a time when regional and international efforts are focused on advancing the second phase of the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump and implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The Ministers emphasized that the recurrence of these violations poses a direct threat to the political process and could hinder ongoing efforts to create the conditions necessary for a more stable transition in the Gaza Strip, both in terms of security and humanitarian conditions. The Ministers stressed the need for full commitment to ensuring the success of the second phase of the peace plan.

In addition, the Ministers also call upon all parties to fully assume their responsibilities during this critical phase and to exercise maximum restraint in order to preserve and sustain the ceasefire, refrain from any actions or practices that could undermine current efforts, and create the conditions conducive to early recovery and reconstruction.

The Ministers also reaffirm the importance of achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state, in accordance with international law, relevant Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
