The Board of Peace, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, shared a welcome message on its official social media platforms marking the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s participation as a founding member of the organization.
The page described the Board of Peace as an expanding international body and also posted messages welcoming the founding members who attended the signing of the Board’s charter in Davos last week.
Jordan was represented at the launch ceremony by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, who took part in the event held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos and inaugurated by President Trump.
Ahead of the ceremony, Jordan had announced its acceptance of an invitation from President Trump to His Majesty King Abdullah II to join the Board of Peace as a founding member.
