Ammon News - The Public Prosecutor at the Major Criminal Court in Amman on Sunday formally charged a man with premeditated murder under Article (328/1) of the Jordanian Penal Code for stabbing his sister, a lawyer, to death inside the family home in northern Amman.

The prosecutor ordered the suspect to be detained for 15 days, subject to renewal, at a correctional and rehabilitation center while the investigation continues.

A source close to the case said the suspect is undergoing intensive questioning by the Public Prosecutor and will be transferred to detention after the initial investigative procedures are completed.

The source added that the Public Prosecution is collecting statements from several family members to finalize the case file and determine all circumstances surrounding the crime.

According to the source, the motive behind the killing was linked to family-related disputes.
