Ammon News - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said on Sunday that global prices of oil derivatives declined during the third week of January.
According to the ministry, the average price of 95-octane gasoline slipped to $618 per ton, down from $621, marking a decrease of about 0.5 percent. Likewise, the average price of 90-octane gasoline fell from $608 to $603 per ton, a drop of roughly 0.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the average price of diesel increased from $568 per ton to $582, an increase of approximately 2.5%. The average price of kerosene increased from $624 per ton to $632, an increase of approximately 1.3%. The average price of fuel oil increased from $343 per ton to $359, an increase of approximately 4.7%.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) posted a notable rise as well, with its average price increasing from $488 per ton in December to $520 in January, up about 6.6 percent.
On the other hand, the average price of Brent crude rose slightly in the third week of January to around $67 per barrel, compared to $66 per barrel in the second week, an increase of approximately 1.5%.
