Ammon News - Director General of the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) Ghaith Al-Tayeb, revealed that "Mohammad" was the most commonly registered male name over the past year, followed by Ahmed, Youssef, Omar, and Adam. Among newborn girls, "Misk" ranked first, followed by Wateen, Salma, and Maryam.
In press statements on Thursday, Al-Tayeb said that 145,934 citizens were under one year old, accounting for 1.6% of the total population. Meanwhile, the number of citizens aged over 95 stood at around 6,043, including 2,106 males and 3,937 females.
